I’m looking forward to watching this documentary on Albert Brooks. I also love the movie Defending Your Life and I recommend it to friends all the time as a hidden gem. It is extremely funny and also very sweet and heartwarming.
I met him at a subway in California once when I was visiting from canada. Super chill. I didn’t realize who he was at the time and he mentioned he was Nemos dad. I love his Simpson characters
This is bittersweet for me since Brooks absolutely deserves a retrospective on decades of incredible work but it also kind of makes me bummed to think we’re nearing the end of it.
Can’t wait for this! It’s cool Rob Reiner’s directing considering his dad Carl used to shout out “his son’s friend Albert” on the Tonight Show as the funniest person he knew
My favorite of the Hitler Downfall memes was [him reacting to Albert Brooks being snubbed for Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZS-UpSkO0z8)
If you like this one, check out “A Matter of Life and Death” from 1946 or 1947. It’s a real trippy movie especially for the time and it’s where Defending Your Life got the idea from.
A Matter of Life and Death is actually REALLY good.
Best Simpsons guest star
Best funniest movie about heaven, reincarnation and life in general!
“I’m Joan of Arc, who are you?”
“I’m lunch!”
Cooooool! I love Albert Brooks! Can’t wait for this!
I have to take a piss. Take a piss!!!
My favorite Albert Einstein
Albert Muthafuckin’ Einstein
“70 degrees, all the time”
Why do I always confuse this guy with Steve Guttenberg?
> And I know funny–I’m a clown fish!

Lost in America! Hilarious! 🥂
Do we find out he’s a covid hoarder in this?
He was so terrifying in Drive
I like when the comedian ask him
“How did you die?”
“On stage. Just like you”
I hear he is a Covid hoarder.
He’s great in Drive. I always knew his comedic stuff but seeing him as a badass gangster was so unexpected and great
Seeing Hank Scorpio in the character collage at the bottom made me smile.

*My hands are a little dirty*
*So are mine*
Ah, I always wondered what became of that kid from Boy Meets World
Way underrated for its view of the afterlife. So so funny. AB at his best.
“I heard Dick Stanley was your defender today. Dick’s a good man, quiet but good.”
“Very quiet.”
The whole “Bomb Shelter” scene.
“Long coma, Art…long coma.”
You mean Albert Brooks, the Covid hoarder.
One of my top 10 movies. I love it.
Genius.
I thought it was Mahoney from Police Academy.
Great movie.
How did you die?
On stage, like you.
His acting in Broadcast News was spectacular.
I was an extra in the waiting in line in heaven scene
I learned a few years ago that he’s the brother of the late Bob Einstein, aka “Super Dave” Osborne. His real name is actually Albert Einstein.
How many days are they looking at?
This is a great movie!
