The movie is back in theaters in October in 4k to celebrate 10 years.

This movie is so freaking underrated
This movie is so good. Came out around the same time Tim Burton put out Frankenweenie. This movie was the better one in my opinion.
Edit: Tim Burton’s movie was Frankenweenie, not Halloweenie. Either way, Paranorman was the better movie.
Saw this as a blind-watch in theaters and it became one of my favorites.
It sucks that Canada never gonna re-release this masterpiece.
This should be a Fathom Event showing nation wide. Not only in about 2 dozen theaters.
Woah. Gives me psychonauts vibes
The score by Jon Brion is really beautiful. It elevates an already wonderful film.
And I love the Halloween homage.
Wow…ten years already!
This is already 10 years old!?!?
I was amazed on how some things were still stop motioned and not computer generated like the stretched out faces of the ghost when she goes spastic.
Paranorman is Laika’s masterpiece. I’ve watched all of their films since and none came close to this one.
An absolute gem of a film. The theme is a little on-the-nose but the script makes up for it by being flat-out hilarious.
This is one of the few films I actually recommend in 3D. The stop motion puppets really give a new (pardon the phrase) dimension to the visuals; it’s something that isn’t really achieved with CGI.
This is probably my favorite Laika film, and one that I watch every spooky season. There’s just something about the lighting and aesthetic that I find really comforting for some reason.
Of all the studios producing stop-motion animated films (or CGI for that matter), Laika’s are by far the most beautiful and inventive. ‘Kubo and the Two Strings’ is a cinematic masterpiece.
God, this makes me feel old.
I remember seeing this in theaters and it was just 1 other person with me. Underrated film for sure
“Perry, calm down! You’re gonna have a heart attack and then what will you do?”
“I’LL COME BACK AND HAUNT NORMAN!!! Maybe then he’ll listen to me!”
For a second I thought we were getting a sequel 🙁 but a rerelease in theaters is great!
Their second best film next to Kubo imo. I think they took the lessons they learned from Coraline and improved upon them for this feature. The climax was an amazing display of stop motion animation and I still can’t figure out how they did some of those effects if they were all practical
Adding the accented “10” in the title was a nice touch!
No way 10 years! i still remember watching the promos for this. It was my most fav animated movie when i was a kid.
I hope they make a new pair of sneakers celebrating the re-release. [The first release held a promo for these great-looking Foamposites.](https://sneakernews.com/2012/08/16/how-to-win-the-paranorman-foamposites/)
My 3/6yo kids LOVE Laika movies (currently on a Box Trolls kick) and I don’t even push them on what to pick on movie night.
Unpopular opinion: Laika movies are totally insane for the amount of work and detail, but characters and the humor always makes me sleep. It’s frustrating because I would love to rewatch each of their movies because all of them are beautiful, but there is no charisma in their characters.
Ohhh nice
I doubt it but would love to see this film in Dolby
A stellar film that’s incredibly underrated. Really excited for the upgrade to 4k.
Tf you mean 10 years?!?! Insane
For me, it’s Laika’s best film by a very wide margin. The resolution of the story really surprised with how strong it hit me emotionally, and I LOVED how they played against the stereotype of the football jock.
“Don’t make me throw this hummus! it’s spicy!”
Jesus I remember watching this as a kid I can’t believe it’s been 10 years already
I love that movie so much
I remember going into this expecting a zany goofy romp…and then the plot twist with the witch happened, and the finale left me in tears. One of my favorite films to watch every October.
Laika films have always been a visual treat, but perhaps even better if there were 3d releases too?
I rarely meet people who have watched this movie, and I don’t understand. Fun, heartfelt, and I liked the animation style.
