Good question. I was wondering the same thing.
Because windows
It’s a glitch in the matrix
Is something behind you reflecting it onto the glass?
If you put your head up to the glass at the spot where you see the porch light in this photo, and turn to look towards the light, you will be able to see it from that vantage. The light rays are traveling just fine from the porch light to that part of the glass, and then reflecting over to your camera.
Maybe you are Tom Cruise and you aren’t telling us.
Look up optics and virtual image. It’s similar to how a mirror works.
The light isn’t traveling through the wall and then from “inside” to your eyes. The light is traveling at an angle to the window, then at an angle to your eyes.
Seriously, do you understand physics or geometry at all?
angle of incidence equals angle of reflection
Because entry angle = exit angle and it’s an optical illusion, that you see the lights in the mirror as far away as the real one, amplified by the actual room behind the glas.
Have you been to school my dear?
Is that a cloth and a leather couch out on your porch? OP, do have a particular thing for mildew?
