I prefer this over the pyramids.
What a gorgeous tree! I love the texture, all those lines wrapping around every nook and cranny.
Born?
Is this from GBNP? When is this from?
Very cool tree
Wow! The curves 😉
Aww… It’s a baby bristlecone!
Born.
You mean when the first blocks of the Great Pyramids were being cut by aliens.
Where is this?
This is an amazing tree!
Great looking tree. Too bad there’s some nerd blocking some of it in this pic
This tree is older than religion
Ugh. Just read about the threat from climate warming they face in The Week magazine (GREAT weekly for anyone who wants to keep up on current events!).
You mean, 12,000 when there was a glaciation, not 2,000 ago like the archeologists say …
If I didn’t already know that the tree is very old, I could probably guess that it is very old based on its trunk.
Wow that’s amazing!
You can tell it’s a Bristlecone Pine by the way it is.
Wow such beautiful tree!
Thats pretty neat.
The oldest one we know of was accidentally killed when the scientists who was studying the tree bored to deep and to big a bit to take a sample of the tree to count the rings and determine the age. The tree died and they cut it down and determined it was around 5000 years old.
Come on, we all know those blocks were cut with laser beams by aliens.

I’ve always wondered where Home Depot got their lumber.
I saw these trees in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest in CA. Very cool.
When is this from?
When this Bristlecone Pine was sprouted! Not born.
Great Basin National Park is amazing. If you’re ever wanting to go, try doing it when they have ranger lead star gazing. It’s got a dark sky award for having almost no light pollution.
Good. Make sure to keep location hidden from ass holes.
Well, I hope this post doesn’t inspire some dummy to go visit and do something that might deface the treasure.
honestly shocked it’s not covered in knife-etchings… “Grog + Helga 843 A.D.
My log has seen some shit
How do you know how old that tree is?
And more to the point, how do you know how old the pyramids are?
This is remarkable. Beautiful picture
If you got a job on the day that seed germinated, and the job paid $12,000/hr, and you worked 40 hours a week ever since, not spending a dime…
Elon Musk would still have billions of dollars more than you.
Not true, but beautiful tree!
