Gas going up everywhere. We don’t need to see pics to tell us that. Also 4.19 isn’t even that bad. I’m southern VA and it’s 4.05 and we are usually really cheap. So you are among the cheapest right now.
Try Europe. You’ll be back and happy to be here.
9$ in germany for 3,75l… IN GERMANY
Gas prices in VA $3.999 gas prices in NJ 4.299

And South Park *laughed* at hybrid owners…. **42MPG bitch who’s laughing now??**
I’m surprised there isn’t one of those dumbass stickers on it. You’re fucking up Florida! You’re supposed to lead the nation in trashy bullshit!
Equivalent to $9 a gallon in the UK.
Thats per gallon.. Try $3.+ NZ per liter for unleaded, thats our cheapest gas and the prices are going up everyday. 1 US gallon = 3.7 liters
On March 5, gas was $3.89/3.99 everywhere in my part of Indiana. On the 7th, I saw it as high as $4.39. And E-85, for the joke that it is? About 20 cents/gallon cheaper. Some places here ever reported having to do two price changes in a day. Funny, I thought most of the E-85 sold in the US was made here?
Energy prices are up around the world
That’s the free market at work! That’s what we all wanted, right? Right?
I’m sorry I really don’t see what the issue is? This translates to roughly CAD$ 1.38 / litre and where I am it’s currently CAD$ 1.78 / litre, so about 30% higher.
Get over it. It’s not as bad as you think it is.
Out in Gainesville I’m paying $4.97
$4.29 in Richmond, VA for regular
93’s about $9/gal in New Zealand, and public transit is either non-existent, or trash; depending on where you are!
Long version, good place to start:

Shorter version, it’s not really a free market (and no such thing can exist to an extent) when you consider regulations, taxation, subsidies, monopoles, lobbying and that we’ll always struggle to deal with complex systems like global oil supplies, and much of the what we do is lagging reactions, not proactive actions.
All good, I welcome well intentioned conversation, happy to be wrong, and learn something new 🤙🏽
Hah. Those prices are low as fuck.
That would be 9.5 usd for a gallon if you lived in Denmark
Especially when you add in the time lag for refining and transportation, it seems highly implausible that those prices reflect higher costs for the supplier – i.e., that the gas in the tanks at that station actually cost the supplier X more than the gas from a few weeks ago.
Prices always jump at the first whisper of a shortage, and when the shortage ends, drift back down slowly.
I wish this would cause less people to drive but that won’t happen
Welcome to California Florida man. What’s crazy is the increase in California is only 8% in my town, sound like 100% in other places.
Roughly 4 litres in a gallon, so about $1.05/l. Current price in Southern Ontario is $1.83.9/litre.
Get over it it’s almost $6.00 bucks a gallon here,
