I’m on day 6 of the flu and it’s starting to piss me off. I’ve never had the flu for this long, it’s driving me crazy. Can’t get a proper night’s sleep, it’s doing my head in. I hope I feel good enough to pick up some work tomorrow, I’m vored as hell.
Yay, we continue to spread the misinformation that fevers are bad for you and provide no benefit.
I see the word “Mortal” there, but does she LOOK mortally feverish? No, she looks regular feverish. Most people aren’t going to acknowledge the difference and just think “fever bad” just like that topic a few days ago.
When it comes to things that evolve, it’s never A+ work. Evolution is a solid C- student, only doing enough to barely keep us alive. The entire human body is a perfect example of that
The dance or immune system plays is such a wonder. Virus are trying to infect us without being detected or killing us, our immune system comes around with a myriad of responses to handle them as well as infections.
Fevers are actually pretty great. Assuming they don’t go too far. I remember when I was a nursing student reading about the immune system and how it responses to the unknown. Now I let the fever run its course and just suffer through it. But the next day I’m feeling great!
I just take Tylenol for it when I gotta work. Gotta love being understaffed and families/patients not caring whether you’re sick or not
Evolution isn’t about you, it’s about the population. A mortal fever might protect others from getting sick by taking you out. Immune system making the tough choices
I think you may have a spelling error in the second box.
Engrish
This reads like an AI and that’s why it’ll hit front page.
Soooooooo funny ….
Isn’t the rise in body temperature meant to kill the invading virus?
Me: “Why did you increase my body temperature so much???”
Immune system: “The virus can’t survive these high temperatures”
Me: “Yeah, neither can I”
Immune System: “……that’s neither here nor there”
I don’t understand the second panel. What’s the immune system trying to say there?
I usually just embrace the fever

Always at the worst time, too. I woke up with a raging cold today, on day two of a seven day work stretch.
Misinformation.
I see the mouth as an eye. I will show myself out.
If an AI drew a comic.
What the hell damn guy?

No if, lol
Lol
The dialogue in this comic is.. weird
More flawless than the spelling…

Flawless system or not, why is the motherfucking immune system a Cyclops? Is it a play on it having no depth perception? Hence the broken system?
i’ve been sick all the time but i haven’t had a fever since i as 12-ish (i’m 20M)

Laughs in hayfever
The thermometer is in her mouth backwards
