Looks like my morning pill regiment
40% of all pills taken in the USA are vitamins.
Hydroxychloroquine, vitamin D, something for organ transplant rejection, an anxiety pill, tylenol, aspirin… And I can’t identify the rest.
Did she recently get an organ transplant? Brown pill looks like CellCept
I also take that many medications (more) when I first get up in the morning. I also take more meds throughout the day. Most of mine are to keep my mentally ill mind from convincing me that I don’t deserve to breathe. I hate them but I can’t live without them and everyone around me is thankful.
Taking Hydroxychloroquine and Cellcept, along with being an African American woman, your coworker probably has Lupus. It’s a life-long chronic autoimmune disorder that requires close follow up with her rheumatologist to minimize flares. Good on her for taking her meds as prescribed!
I take that many, but I’m a diabetic cancer survivor who’s father and brother died of random dissections of the aorta. so yeah lots of preventative meds.
I take around 10 pills in the morning and a few before bed. 5 years ago i was hella sick and had to take 30 pills/day (17 different meds iirc)
She’s buffing herself before entering a boss fight. Stamina regeneration increase, defense buff, arcane damage reduction, and so…
Why are you sharing your coworkers pills??
Which is it? All the pills she takes or 12 out of the 15?
My mom does something similar due to epilepsy.
This is nothing. My MIL who used to work in a pharmacy might as well pour hers in a bowl and drink them with milk like cereal. She has pills for other pills she takes. Its insane
Autoimmune disease are no joke.
That’s lupus. Looks like Hydroxychloroquine, a Probiotic to help prevent infection, allergy pill because our bodies are dumb and like to react to everything. I don’t recognize all of them but as a fellow Lupie, the quantity of pills never seems to decrease
It’s great that modern medicine can help her. While a pill a day for each thing sucks, it used to be a lot worse.
I hope the future cures more diseases
I have end stage kidney disease and am recovering from a parathyroidectomy. I take 28 pills a day. I feel you co worker’s pain.
Ah, that’s the chronic illness/medically complicated salad right there.
Im always so self conscious and down on myself with how many pills I have to take at 30. (Severe anxiety w/ physical symptoms out the wazoo and a tiny bit of depression)
5 in the morning and 4 at night. Not including vitamins.
Posts like these help me feel more normal.
Straight up lupus my mum died from lupus 5 years ago she took so many tablets to fix things they ruined others so she needed more to fix those she ended up riddle with cancer and died in my little brothers arms one morning before school.
i feel this image in my soul as a fellow autoimmune disorder haver
Hello to all my the lupus people in the comments who also recognized half the pills 👋🏻 keep fighting the good fight
I respectfully and strongly advise everyone to never handle someone’s prescription medications in the palm of your hand without medical gloves. Unfortunately, the body can absorb those chemicals like an injected hypodermic needle, especially in the middle palm area. Please be careful, be well.
Healthy people: oh my goodness pills are bad for you.
People like me with chronic diseases:
Lol, I’d be dead without them
I’m extremely fortunate to have had a kidney transplant. Thousands of people die waiting.
The number of pills I have to take daily is huge, and the side effects are considerable. And my out-of-pocket cost monthly is around $400.
Having said that, I’m still alive.
And grateful to my donor, Jackie.
