Uplifting

I just started a new series and this is the first piece. This series called “Stories of Light” will focus on my use of the palette knife and emphasized scenarios of glowing light.
The narratives will be a bit tighter than my other work which is borderline abstraction sometimes.
I created this because it’s early in the year and there are so many things that could be dragging us down. After conversation with my close friends and family about my struggles last year when it comes to health, money and happiness, I’ve felt… Uplifted.
These talks remind me I’m not the only going through making great mistakes. People every year do something that could affect their future negatively but they don’t love in those mistakes. I’m learning not to do that.
In a way, this piece is for anyone that’s believed in me as I continue to make painting my life.
I hope you all also remember to talk about your problems to people that can uplift you and show a new perspective to move forward.
