The same test, the smaller iPhone glass did not break.
So, for those wondering, it’s just the taller one breaking. Not making an excuse for Apple, it’s hilarious that their high-end flagship failed this hard, and I wouldn’t expect this as normal wear and tear… But silver (Titanium?) lining: At least they made the back glass easier to remove and replace (maybe this is why e.e)
I’m almost certainly tempting fate now but I don’t think I’ve ever broken a phone screen… What are you people doing with your phones?! Haha! Especially those guys that have a phone that is just pure shards.
The Pro Max was the only one that did this. He did it with the normal Pro and it did not crack at all. My guess is that the length of the Pro Max is just long enough to give you enough leverage to pop it. Just another reason for me to NOT get the max.
My mind is blown that other people aren’t still wondering why the back is glass at all? I’ve hated this on every single iphone. I don’t need to see through the back of my phone. Make it metal, rubberized, polycarb, ANYTHING but glass. Its hard to believe I’m the only one who feels this way.
I like how in “The Expanse”, which is set way in the future, they still have glass phones and tablets and some of the characters phones are broken and cracked. Like we’re stuck with this shit forever lol
Dämn… So, you’re saying I cannot use an iPhone as a Pry Bar to open a Bottle or a Cushion to rest my weight on? Gee… Ppl really need to give it a rest.
this really cracks me up
The only surprising thing here is that only the back cracked. I honestly expected the whole thing to fold.
Is this the one that is supposedly made out of titanium?
The 15 Pro didn’t crack, just the 15 Pro Max did. Don’t get the Max version.
thank god he is smart enough to put his name in the shot, cuz apperantly credit is no longer a thing, ey op?
The whole video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IS0SItAzEXg
this is because they made the rear glass more easily replaceable. but still, unacceptable for a $1000 phone.

I’ve never used my phone like that before

I’m just wondering, if it might have broke coz he heated the whole thing for a whole minute before he bend the phone.

it crazy he been doing this for decade doing the same thing and poeple freaking out now.
Doesn’t matter what metal they used to make it. Glass will always break first.

But will it cut?
Don’t put it in your back pocket or you’ll find a nice ass crease the next time you take it out.
lol the next video is wild. Very cool to see how the insides worked with the body and frame being welded together. Worth a watch
What is this a cyber truck?
… yeah, I think I’ma hold onto my 11 Pro Max for a few more years. Barely a scratch on it.
This is upsetting to see, what sort of phone should I get if I want to try and bend it in half?
That was the sound of Tim Cook’s little heart breaking lol
It took him 11 years to break a phone? What a noob.
I bet the glass is weaker because they felt the need to infuse the color into the glass instead of a vynal on the inside like normal.
I was a bit surprised when visiting the Apple Store this week that the demo models already had visible screen scratches.
Titanium is not stronger or less flexible than steel. It just has a better strength to weight ratio.
Note to self, dont forcibly bend my phone. I usually do that.
i’m returning my iphone 15 pro max because it didn’t survive the 30 second blow torch test /s

Samsung note 20 ultra is the best phone. Comes with 1 tb space, and you can put another 1 tb micro sd flash card.
It also comes with a pen. It’s useful. The phone is functional. It’s a rare breed of a phone. It still sells for a hefty price even today.
Making a phone out of titanium and then coating it in glass is peak millennium engineering.
