>”I was insecure about my voice, about the accent, about the choreography, about working with American actors who know her better than me, everything! All of that was exactly what she would be feeling. So it was incredible. Even though it seems like everything was very sad, and a lot of crying and traumatic things were going on, we had a great time.”
I really hope it’s good for her sake. Considering the film is about Marilyn Monroe: The Image, can’t say I care about her accent anymore than I did about seeing both Sharon Tate in The Wrecking Crew and Sharon Tate played as Margot Robbie in OUATIH.
The story seems to be more about what it meant to be the symbol, the icon than a biopic, so as long as the aesthetic is there I’m sure I’ll be able to get into it.
I just cannot care. I was not interested in Elvis, nor am I interested in this. I will give it a thumbs up for not just rehashing an already told story though.
Oh yay.. yet another Monroe Biopic to skip.

If she can’t do a convincing American accent she shouldn’t have been chosen as the one to play her.
Edit: how about for the next JFK biopic we have someone with a thick French accent play him?
I still don’t get the point of this movie.
It’s not even a biopic…it’s based on a work of fiction.
I’m sure she’ll be great because she’s a good actor, but the accent is pretty big. If she doesn’t hit it it’s like John Wayne playing Genghis Khan.

I hope this isnt a bad career move for her. She is a good actress.
Michelle Williams did a fantastic job in my week with marilyn.
I’m iffy on this one if I’m being honest. Her accent is really thick in this and I don’t think it’s going to convince me, but we’ll see.

She looks the part but will get harangued for her accent forsure. The trailer shows she did work hard but it still slips in.
Can’t wait.
