Nancy Sinatra performing a live concert for American troops in Vietnam (1967)

  • This is likely from the March 2, 1967 USO show by Nancy Sinatra and her troupe, who traveled to Vietnam to visit the soldiers and medics there. She had scored a #1 hit with “These Boots Are Made For Walking,” the previous year. At the close of the show, the Brigadier General of the base presented her with a pair of boots.

This photo does not show the bold red, white and blue miniskirt worn by Nancy, which probably captured a great deal of attention from those boot-wearing soldiers attending.
