So proper in dress and posture while taking in the Native related share. …I’m guessing based on the items on the table of course. Was there just one teacher and a guest speaker? I see 21 children not including the side table we can’t see. If there are more kids it sure is healthy sized class and so well managed. I can only imagine the emotional climate whether soon after the pic or at home that day.
The teachers were crying at my school. I’m Irish Catholic so it was like a death in the family. I know some guys that grew up in in the south and said the classroom erupted in cheers when it was announced.
We were in third grade Catholic school and the nuns just lost it. They left the room and we didn’t see them for several hours. We had to make do with paper planes and kids making rude drawings of Kennedy. I was starting to figure things out and I wasn’t liking it.

I bet the smart kids got to sit at the fancy centre table.
and
Today class we’re going to learn about The President, death and why Mommy and Daddy are so sad.
Cute
I wonder what their faces looked like once they were told that JFK was assassinated that day.

Clayton Ave! I went to Tioga Hills. Say hey to your wife. She probably knew my older sister. So cool to see that here.
I remember seeing a school photo taken of me on 9/11. Don’t think I have it now though. Shame. Would’ve been fun to show to my kids.

Very cute!
I was a kid then, it didn’t really register. I was more upset that it was all that was on TV, for days.
Wait, 21 to 1 ratio… the fuck is this? Must be a miracle!
Sorry, those people are clearly dressed for college. I don’t believe you.
Aww little boomers
Class sizes weren’t any better back then
