r/colorization could do wonders with this if you asked them.
Was his name, or nickname, really Ferd? My grandfather was named Fernando but was always called Ferd and I never knew or heard of anyone else go by the name.
When I went to an aviation college, this is the aircraft they used to teach us to hand prop an engine. I loved radial engines!
