When I was a kid – early 80s, our little league t-ball fields had a men’s bathroom with a giant trough for a urinal in the middle of the room. So people would stand on all sides of it and all pee towards the middle, facing each other.
My hubs fraternity had this setup. Can’t imagine 5th grade girls tolerating it.
5th grade girls have periods. There’s no trash cans. I would imagine privacy should be given for this.
So it’s a BYOTP type of place or…?
In case you’re wondering, jail etiquette states that you’re supposed to slide the garbage can in the doorway. Then we know it’s in use. Have a great day and don’t ask how I know.
Im on the older side so I remember a lot of restrooms that were wide open and you just pissed into a trough. I get that privacy is a thing, but having something open simply didn’t register as odd for me back then.

I’m calling bullshit. This is maybe a men’s room (still weird) but I’d guess it is being converted from a men’s room and the stalls haven’t been installed and it’s probably not actually supposed to be open yet.
There’s no TP. And the capped holes in the walls used to be urinals. And the floor is unfinished.
This looks’ exactly like my schools girls bathroom in Russia circa 1995. Not joking whatsoever .

This is exactly how the bathrooms have been at almost every sporting even I participated in during my school years and more than one college football stadium that I’ve attended. Hell I’ve been in men’s rooms that just had one long trough urinal lol.
