Signed by Frank Borman, and given to my grandfather when they were co-workers at Eastern Air Lines (probably around the 1980s~). Still one of the coolest things I’ve got!
I’ve always said that they needed to add extra fuel just so they could get these three men’s ball into space, the first men to travel into deep space and circle the moon, amazing
Bill Anders is the only astronaut I’ve met, he took the iconic “Earthrise” photo, I’m both a science and photo buff so it was a real treat to meet him. One thing I recall was he was a bit small, which I guess helps being crammed in those space capsules.
Eastern Airlines! I worked on some of their 727s in the early 80s. My gosh those birds had a lot of corrosion! But I would have this prominently displayed on my wall at home, even though it has nothing to do with me or anyone I know. Thanks for sharing!
