My mum had a doily hung over her legs in the picture that adorned the Royal Aero Club lounge. She was the first female to win an aviation scholarship ever, in 1961, and needless to say, the only woman in the picture. l But I’ll save that photo for another day, under another account, Reddit.
My mom was a colander girl but it got to be too much of a strain
