My grandfather in the 40’s during World War Two , he landed in Normandy and fought through the hedge groves and the battle of the bulge. Such a badass.

My man definitely seen some shit. Respect
Fought in Pattons 3rd army and ended up with a Purple Heart from some shrapnel that blinded his left eye and a silver star for bravery, passed away in 2004.
My father had a similar path. Most of them wouldn’t consider themselves “bad assed”, they just did what they knew had to be done. The feeling was “If I don’t do my part someone else will have to do it for me.” Most weren’t cowboys.
Yes he was.
My grandfather was there right beside him. A grenade blew right behind him and left a huge scar down his back. He lost his rifle and found it again a week later in the back of a pickup truck he was catching a ride in. He was more of a man than I’ll ever be, and lived a full life. May be rest in peace.
all that and not a hair out of place.
they dont make them like your Gramps anymore
They don’t make men like that anymore.
Such an amazing photograph.
God Bless him and all the brave young men like him. Definite badass!
HOLY SHIT, my grandfather served in Normandy and at the battle of the bulge. We keep on finding out more and more info after he passed. I’ve always wanted to find out what happened
