Honestly, once you get past the visual spectacle of Hraezlyr’s size and power, it’s really an underwhelming boss fight that feels more Legend of Zelda puzzle boss than the epic clashes of titans that God of War is known for in its boss fights.
It’s not bad by any means, but I’ll take the final fight with Baldur over it any day of the week. THAT was a true God of War boss battle in every sense.
Interesting, it’s a spectacle for sure, but probably one of my least favourite bosses in the game
I thought Poseidon, Hades and Zeus were better in GoW3 and the first Baldur fight was better in that game but that was the shit too.
Mechanically its the weakest boss fight in the game. Just boring
Hands down the Valkyrie are the best bosses in the game. Followed by the strangers IMO.

I love the combat in GoW4 but the bosses were probably the weakest element.
That’s sad. Even in god of war 4s poor boss standards the dragon was extra sad.
