My family in 1981. My older brother, me, my sister, oldest brother, Mom’s BF at the time, and my Mom with our 1972 International Harvester Scout II.

“Anything less is just a car.”
Is it okay to ask what happened to dad?
Ahhh, back in the day when you could lounge (or even cavort) across a vehicle hood, and not worry about it denting.
That’s a solid hood
That is a fine looking Scout!!!
My granddad had one of those for years back in the 1960s. We grand kids thought that was as cool as his Model T he drove on Sundays.
Did you realize back then how into the cosmos your mom’s boyfriend was?
Very interesting. How old was mom when she had her oldest child?
My brother had one in the 70’s. Took a licking and kept on ticking.
Title reads like an elementary school math logic problem where you try to figure out who the middle child is…

My Dad had that same model. Same color too. It didn’t have a radio, but that didn’t matter because it was so noisy that we wouldn’t of heard a thing. It did get us into some great fishing spots.
Canyonero! Hiyah!
I got my drivers license in a stick shift international harvester Travel-all that seated a family of 9. I’m quessing it was their biggest family car. 🙄
There was a cult that setup in a mountain town nearby in the 80s and 90s and they all drove these. I think they were some kind of doomsdayers and i think one of their members own some dealership and they all had to sell off their possessions and only drive these. Since, I believe they kinda fractured the cult and became a little more conventional but still whacko. I’ve always wondered what happened to all the scouts. Probably buried in a mountain cave still ready to go
Red Dawn
Is the Bonnet really long or the perspective messing with me?
