😻
she is so cute
The cat looks like,
“I’m outta here in 10… 9…. 8….”
I remember one time when I was enjoying a cat before picking it up like that.
Damn, that cat’s bigger than she is. Chonky boi
That cat doesn’t look brand new.
Is the cat in a “Well I guess this is my life, now” mindset, or a “Girl, if you don’t get your hands off me…” mindset?
Orange cats are usually pretty chill. They can withstand a little manhandling.
New to her maybe, but that cat has seen some shit.
That looks so much like my big orange dude that I actually yelped when I saw the picture.
My dude is the most chill cat I have ever met, and totally happy to be picked up like that, or any other way. 😆
Save this pic because the look on her face is worth all the food and vet bills.
I’m a cat shelter volunteer and I have met hundred of cats over they years (probably more than a thousand) and in my experience the big orange guys love kids. They are usually extremely patient and loving.
When I was her age I dressed my cat in doll clothes. He was NOT impressed, but he let me do it anyway lol.
they are both so cutteeee.
so cute
Glad you went with an older boy! Kittens are fun, but starting young kids with older and more sturdy pets is so good for both the kids and the pets.
Brand new cat not enjoying your daughter.
Cat: *“I must find whatever toys this child likes and destroy them. I will study her.”*
Hopefully she’s not too excited and rough with the cat. My niece grew up with a kitty and the cat kind of hates/avoids her. Mainly because my niece is very jumpy and energetic and doesn’t understand that a cat generally doesn’t want to hang all the time.
They are both adorable! Give lots of hugs.
That cat is not brand new. Just wanted to point that out.
I want to say the feeling is mutual, but…😅
Looks used to me.
That is a used cat. I mean it might be new to her, but that is a used cat.
Your daughter’s cat has accepted that the next 10-15 years will be watching over this child and her home. That cat will die purely because the grim reaper has grown tired of being chased off, and will leave your family heart broken.
And your daughter will love every minute of that time between now and then.
Orange cats are so friendly for some reason
Orange Tabby. Great choice. Best kiddens ever
He’s a very patient good boy.
She looks so sweet🥰 I wish you many years with her new friend!
This is one of the cutest photos I have ever seen! This is so wholesome and heartwarming. Thank you very much for posting it.
It looks terrified, teach your daughter how to properly care for a cat.
The little one is going to be a cat person in adulthood! Enjoy your Kitty!!
:J
Everyone talking about how she’s holding him has never had a big orange baby of their own. Hims loves her and is just taking the way she holds him its evident is the complete stillness of this phone 😂
You can tell from his body language he is not happy about being held that way (flat ears, looking off in the distance), but…
BUT!
He is tolerating it because he is patient cat and must be pretty happy about having a new home and some affection.
OP, cats are wonderful rewarding pets. But you have to learn to speak their language.
Your daughter should start with face scratches, chin and behind the ear stuff. If the cat stays, longer pets may also be welcome. Don’t attempt to pick up a cat unless you are just doing it briefly to put him in a specific room. Waiting for the cat to come to you is the key to having a good relationship.
(Toys are also important. Toys should try to replicate the movements of prey: a flittery bird or a scurrying rodent.)
In any case, you are an awesome parent and your daughter is going to be a great cat caretaker.
Love that kitty every day with all your heart little one. Lost mine just last week 😞
Awesome that you guys gave an adult kitty a new home. Looks like a great one.
Awww. 2 cuties for 1 pic.
My favourite thing in this picture (apart from the fact it’s adorable) is that you got an adult cat, rather than a kitten. My heart breaks everytime I see an older cat that’s overlooked for a kitten. I understand why people want kittens more, and I don’t judge people for it – but I love love love when an older cat gets some love.
Brand new in box?
Oyen!
Is the cat chonky or is your daughter small?
That’s a nice kitty right there!
It’s the same size as her! That’s so freaking cute, and good on y’all for getting an older kitty.
Sorry but this cat isn’t looking brand new at all. Looks pretty used and several years old tbh
What brand is it?
Cat doesn’t look to be enjoying their new human
Both are adorable.
I remember my first cat. It died.
*Love* to see adult cats getting good homes!! And so stoked for your girl to get to know the joys of living with cats! They’re both lovely, super cute pic all around 🙂
My cats make the same face when my girls hold the cats.
