Colin Thurston is (was?) a fantastic producer. Anywhere to hear them?
Saxon’s Wheels of Steel album was released in 1980. Your dad (or your dad’s buddy) is looking at a music paper promoting the album’s first single which was released in March of that year. Your dad (or your dad’s buddy in the black t-shirt and denim jacket) likely has some patches sewn on that jacket and more than likely bailed for the NWOBHM explosion. 
Which one is your dad? The guy on the left reminds me of Richard Hammond 🙂
