We had a hospital birth but we went home the same day and our cat sniffed baby’s head and her eyes bugged out. But she always loved sleeping next to him.
I love it when new parents include their pets with the baby as much as possible when bonding:taking care of them. I’m always afraid the pets would feel left out or jealous at the attention the baby gets.
I’m just reminded of that time I was laying back watching a TV show, my favorite cat sitting on my stomach as I idly pet it for like an hour, as I so often did. Nicest, most mild mannered cat in the world. Then, out of nowhere it reached up and scratched the ever living fuck out of my face. Almost scratched the eyeball.
Anyway these days instead of a cat and dog person I’m just a dog person.
I read a story on reddit that I’d like to believe is true. Even if it’s made up, I’ll always see cats through this lens until proven otherwise.
> Someone abandoned a baby in an alley. Left it there naked in the freezing air. Someone found it the next day inside a ball of stray alley cats all cuddled together keeping it warm.
You send a link with an ad to see the video. Uh uh. Monetizing your baby? Am I wrong?
Should a pregnant woman be around cats? Isn’t there a disease they can catch from cats?
Edit: downvoted for asking a genuine concern. Zoomers.
Almost 5 minutes and the cat never even does those rapid slaps to the kid. Thumbs down.
Minnie – “I’m never going to financially recover from this.”
What do cats really think of kids and babies?
Their masters? Servants? Just a new member of the pack?
Come any closer motherfucker and the claws come out!
Kitty’s eyes were so wide whenever it looked at the kid. Such love.
ðŸ˜I love your kitty so much!
This is so sweet! You have a beautiful family😊
I think she’s a keeper.
What about the dog?!

Yo, isnt that foot-patterned receiving blanket the absolute shit? WAY bigger and thicker than any other receiving blanket I’ve ever found. Love it.

When I was a baby I apparently sat on the cat and from that point on, it did not like children of any kind.
