  • Yeah, now sometimes Mullahs in Iran are going out without their outfit to avoid being identified, attacked and harassed by people.

They’re finally feeling fear and unsafe in this country they’ve taken hostage.

Edit – for those wondering, hate for the Islamic Republic government isn’t new in Iran, it’s been there for most people since these orcs hijacked the revolution, but these Mullahs and goons have been good at domestic repression.

This time however with the killing of an innocent girl people lost their minds and there was inspirational videos of people fighting back against the government. People are now more organised and more fierce now when dealing with the regime and its supporters. Iranians are doing everything they can to make it a hostile environment for the Islamic Republic.

    Some of the slogans are:

“Women, life, freedom”, “We will fight, we will die, we will take back Iran”, “I will kill, I will kill, those who killed my sister” and “death to the Islamic republic”

Edit 2 – For those of you wondering how you or your government can help us get rid of these zealots. Iranians don’t want direct intervention. However everybody in Iran is on strike in Iran to help cut the flow of the economy so the regime starves without financing and can’t fund its forces.

Please contact your representatives and tell them you don’t want the USA to immediately release any funds to the Iranian government for the nuclear deal being signed again. Iranian people have accepted that they are ready to go through some pain in exchange for getting rid of the regime. The second thing would be to request that Islamic republic of Irans envoys be deported so they can no longer do our governments bidding overseas while we are killed at home.

I’ve made a new sub called r/NewIran to encourage people to post content about the protests and ideas on how we can push out this repressive regime.

  • We have a mullah in our j-highschool and people refer to him by “toop tank feshfesheh” lol(“toop tank feshfesheh akhoond bayad gome besheh” is a popular slogan that means “artillery*, tank, fire cracker, akhoond’s(mullah’s) needs to get lost”. It dosnt really rhyme in english but trust me, it sounds better in persian

  • Walking too closely behind a man. Without hijab. Alone in public. Wearing pants. Showing skin/her ankles. There’s a whole lot going on here. She’s trolling hard.

Edit: Pants and ankles showing are acceptable in Iran. My ignorant mistake. There are other Muslim countries where they are not ok.

  • It is said in the Quran that there is no compulsion in faith, and these idiots are doing the opposite. Fundamentalists need to cope and seethe. If you are so worried about seeing uncovered women, YOU are the problem, not the woman.

    Signed, a Muslim revert

  • All ideological revolutions eventually run out of steam as the people realize how disconnected from reality it is and want to return to some sort of normal. The generations that saw the Iranian revolution come to pass are dying off and the later ones who have known nothing but living under it are growing tired of living like 2nd class citizens for no point.

  • Hahaha Mullas have been disliked by the public for a long time but it’s because the government funds their education – increasing the taxes the common man pays. Hence they don’t like them because of the financial burden it forces them to carry. This isn’t a recent development.

Edit: Just want to clarify, since I’m getting a surprising amount of upvotes, I’m also saying the Mullas are not hated because of their religious status/affiliation nor do they harass women (that is not to say no Mulla ever has or will but this is not an issue unique to them, it is prevalent in every country across all types of people). They are hated because they place a greater financial burden on taxpayers with many of them being international students. Lastly, Iran is a secular country in many ways and if you’ve ever been to the country, bar perhaps Qom (the epicenter of their academia and education), women wear a very loose hijab or at times do not wear one at all. The image painted on Reddit of the life of women in Iran is not an accurate one.

  • This is what happens when the extremists push too hard. The rest of the people get tired and actually pushed back. That’s when it’s obvious how small the number of extremists really is in comparison to the rest of society. They do such a good job of drowning out everyone else with their radical behavior that their presence looms larger than it really is.

  • I live in Iran and the amount of people who has been killed during these protests is unimaginable. A 16 year old girl was lost for 8 days after that they’ve found her body, she had been tortured, raped multiple times and her organs were removed, this is just one of the people that government killed. They’ve also cut down the internet, we can’t use any apps without vpns and the internet is very slow but the protests still continue and let me tell you my friends no matter how many of us gets killed or arrested we will win this fight.

Edit: I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words, you don’t know how much it means to us to be seen by the world that ignored us for years. I cried while reading some of your comments, thank you again for your kind words my friends.

  • They should never be allowed to disrobe and shed their pasts.

Mark them, forever more. May every human who sees them know what they are and what they have done.

They deserve the ire of humanity until their last breath

  • You know those christians who preach on street corners with megaphones about how you’re going hell if you play roblox? Think of the most agressively vile ones. Now imagine every school, company, and park in all of america has at least one. Now imagine a few decades of it.

  • This is probably cutting DEEP into their souls. All their lives they’ve been given the green light to disrespect and oppress women under the pretense of their fucked up, archaic religion… now they’re getting kicked in the balls for it. GOOD.

  • Having lived in Iran, and liked the folk, I give you Iranian ladies all my support. The Grandmother of the family I stayed with had taken to demonstrations in 1910 (yes, 1910) against the power of the Mosque and its Mullahs. She, who spoke Russian, Iranian, French, and English, told me tales of her youth. It changed my idea of Iranian women.

She felt the biggest problem was the non education or small education of women, in a power hungry mullah society

  • The first time I was harassed over my hijab, i was 8. A mullah who lived in my street approached me in the supermarket and asked me to put on a headscarf, since I had very long hair and he thought “it drew attention to itself”. Even in Islam, girls younger than 9 don’t have to wear hijab, but he took it upon himself to give me this unsolicited piece of “advice”.

From that day till I turned 11 and moved to another house, every single time I stepped outside of my home without wearing a hijab, I would look around and make sure he wasn’t in the street, and only then i would go about my business. If I saw him, I would wait till he left just so I wouldn’t have to hear him chastise me again.

So, yeah. They deserve whatever they get. Every single time I’ve went to a public space for the last 10+ years, I did it with fear. Now they are getting a taste of what every Iranian woman has dealt with all her life.
