The simplicity of this sketch and absolute skill of both him and actual drummer. Spot on.
Rowan Atkinson was / is amazing at this kind of thing. His headmaster’s speech at the secret policeman’s ball is also worth a watch
Now I want to see him on a visible kit!
The man had some incredible physical comedic skills, but I have never understood the appeal. Throughout the 90s I always thought, oh it’s a clown schtick without the outfits. But clowns were lame. Talented, of course. Funny…meh.

Lee Evans has something similar called the lee evans trio which is slightly different but almost as good as Rowan doing his thing
I assume he’s performing in the UK, so it’s interesting that he plays the opening of the US National Anthem at 2:22. Is there some hidden joke there? Or is there a popular UK song with the same melody?

Mr. Bean is a character. This is Rowan Atkinson. It’s like showing a clip of Eddie Murphy stand-up and saying it’s Axel Foley
