The video matching the title: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9gSxzz3mVA
The one you linked is just a nice doggo vlog ;D
You should carry dog treats with ya. There’s also a whole facebook page of delivery drivers taking photos of dogs along their route.
Of course they were, it’s Amazon, they aren’t known for being reasonable.
Probably for recording private property? Would be my guess. To be fair most jobs would not want you recording all day.
He should have known better…no company would allow this without permission.
Whilst wathcing this, I was thinking that Amazon wouldn’t be too thrilled about it.
Oh no! Anyway..
I have always wondered if Software Engineer employees you always see on YouTube posting day in the life videos get pre approval
I can see why viewers would have their pitchforks out over this, but I kinda also don’t blame a company for firing someone who’s constantly publicly broadcasting their workplace without permission, even if that workplace is a vehicle.
that sucks. but side note whats with his subs to view ratio. why does he have so many subs for so few views?
this has always been a firable offense at amazon, if amazon catches you taking pictures that has any of the customers info you’re fucking canned.
doesn’t matter if it’s blurred, because they know there’s an unblurred version somewhere.
this is why.
Haven’t watched the whole thing yet but my guess is that he was fired because recording packages being delivered has the potential to disclose customer personally identifiable information, which carries hefty fines for his employer. Easy decision from a management perspective. Source: I work in big data marketing.
Stumbled on Walteriffics youtube channel a while back, i’m not a motorbike rider but his videos are entertaining. A shame about him being fired however this is Amazon here and they hate anything and everyone especially when it comes to doing things that aren’t strictly Amazon
Main character syndrome strikes again.
we’ll no phones on the job.
Amazon sucks they had me delivering out a white van and would delay me from starting my shift at the set time and received points before I even started the job
that sucks. this guys is really nice and i hope it works out.
Driving with the door open with all those packages on the floor seems insane. I only watched a few minutes of this video.
I just looked through this guys videos and he seems a bit…strange. He films people randomly, ignores traffic rules, and I guess also ignores rules at his jobs as well. Seems he has a bit of an accountability problem and believes he is above everything.
i like how he’s nice to the animals, and annoyed by the people.
I mean, yeah? Of course he’d get fired.
It’s weird that people are shocked when you break your employers rules you sometimes get fired
Been a fan of Walter for a long time. He’s a good guy, deals with a lot of stuff. I can assure there was no bad intentions and hope none of you think less of him for this.. still a stupid idea but hey Amazon sucks.
pretty brazen no company would allow this
A lot of people don’t realise that personally identifiable information is a huge fucking category, no doubt this guy fell foul of data protection policy
I imagine he was fired for many reasons.
But still, kind of cool. Imagine there was a PoV video on YouTube for every single job field out there. That’d be pretty useful for people looking to work that specific field.

Whomen
I’m sad he got fired. Mainly bc I think this thread would be way better if we were JUST discussing the video and not the company/policies.
I thought it was pretty interesting. Interactions with people and dogs. Inside view of how the ground delivery arm of a giant company operates. Sprinkle in some small talk, and I’m pretty sure one dog took a nip at him?! I’m into mundane storylines, in general.
Doggos are the unsung heroes that keep these drivers sane.
Makes sense, no employer would allow this.
I don’t understand this. When you look for „Amazon Driver POV“ on YouTube, there are tons of videos of people doing the same.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Not even surprised in the slightest. No company will allow that ever if they’re smart. It’s just too high of a liability when it doesn’t need to be.
kinda weird since there alot alot of channels that are doing videos of their delivery trips on every video
I feel like video-documenting the internal experience as an employee is a fireable offense at every company ever if they don’t approve of it.
