Cutting to credits is an art in itself. I think all of us have moments we remember when credits roll and whatever song plats hiss us like a freight train.
So, my question is: what is your favourite cut-to-credits track? I’m thinking not so much the song itself being good or bad but rather the state it puts you in, be it complimentary to the story or in complete opposition.
My personal contribution, and what triggered this thought, is the credits tune of A Serbian Film (yes, I am an apologist); the bleakest shit you ever saw followed by the fattest dubstep you ever heard (Pazi Sta Radis by Sky Wikluh). It was such a contrast and created great dissonance within me as a viewer (is it morally ok to vibe?) while also representing the aesthetic of the setting.
Gimme some good shout outs.

Your mind was recently blown by the twist. You’re surprised how Tyler died and The Narrator lived. Then buildings start exploding. Cue a haunting song about losing your mind.
Keep in mind that in 1999, the song was 11 years old. It probably hit no charts internationally. The album wasn’t even reviewed by any major outlets until after Fight Club.
So it was like a surprise punch over and over that all ended with you saying to yourself, “Tyler is imaginary? He survived the shot? Those buildings are exploding? Did they kill anyone? Where there any clues that Tyler was imaginary? What is this awesome song!?”
