Reminds me of the way a lot of indie films used to feel (before they were even called indie): small, smartly crafted, not 100% perfect, but the flaws are part of what made them compelling. My gut tells me I should see this in a theater –not because of the grand vistas, though they seem nice, but because if I make a point of going to see it in a theater, I’ll be less likely to allow myself to be distracted or to stop it midway with the intent of coming back to it or otherwise allow myself to not become invested in the experience.
