  • For anyone curious about the premise:

    >Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco, and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch.

    >Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army Officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows.

    >Based on the Monsterverse from Legendary, and starring Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett and Elisa Lasowski, this dramatic saga — spanning three generations — reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.

Side note, cool that Kurt named his son after Wyatt Earp, a character he played in Tombstone

  • Lifelong Goji fan here who despises the Monsterverse. I liked 14 to a degree, and it’s been dogshit ever since. For clarification… I’m talking since 1979 or so.

This show is GOOD. I am really surprised.

Minus One hits in a few days, which by all accounts I trust is the best film they’ve ever done. Pleasantly surprised this year as a fan.

Meanwhile, I will be skipping that dogshit Kong movie this time.

  • From Reddit, it sounds like its a bad show but I’m loving it so far. It does have some laughably bad moments like the hacking and the map matching perfectly, drawn to the same scale, although one is a scientific and the other map is just marks based on stories.

  • I wonder if they can use this show to throw in some minor Godzilla monsters that will probably never get a film in the Monsterverse. Give us a Biolante plot! Or a Megaguirus! Or even Anguirus! Would be neat, I think.

  • Apple TV is way too expensive for such a tiny catalog. They need to merge with paramount or something to make it worth subscribing. I limit myself to 3 services. Right now that’s Hulu Netflix hbo.
