This movie portrayed the definition of work in the 90s for me. Absolute classic. Work was a waste of life with limp dick assholes, khakis and bullshit cubicles.
Mike Judge is one of the most interesting people in Hollywood to me. He seems like a very particular & demanding creator but also very laid back and down to earth.
We need to talk about your flair, 15 pieces is the minimum, mmkay. Its up to you if you want to just do the bare minimum. But look, Brian for example has *37 pieces* of flair. Do you really wanna do the bare minimum?
I loved this movie, then I started working in IT and was horrified at how accurate it is. I watch it every year on my corporate work anniversary. As I work remote and spend most of my work day hiking in the mountains.
The other day I used this one in conversation: “you don’t need a million bucks to do nothin Peter man, just look at my cousin, he’s broke and he don’t do shit”.
So many bit parts kill it in this, and not just the Bobs or Jump to Conclusion Mat guy or construction worker neighbor. I mean the fucking annoying server, the Oh face guy, the Case of the Mondays lady. Even the pass the cake lady is great.
I think this was the first time he had ever directed live action actors (unless I’m mistaken) and he had to do it with JA who happened to be a superstar at the time.

“Dang it, Ron, we need this scene done in one take. Now let me tell you about clean burning propane” = in Hank Hills voice.
“I’m gonna have to ask you to go ahead and just come back another time. I got a meeting with the Bobs in a couple minutes.”

looks like somebody’s got a case of the Mondays
What would you do with a million dollars?
I hope he had a word with her about the quality and quantity of her flair.
1998? REALLY? JFC. I’m fucking OLD.
“SAY HELLO TO LUMBERGH FOR ME!”
I love Kung Fu!
Recently saw it and we were amazed at how little screen time Aniston gets
The best documentary ever made
The printer scene is one of the most cathartic and therapeutic scenes in movie history.
Mike Judge is one of the most interesting people in Hollywood to me. He seems like a very particular & demanding creator but also very laid back and down to earth.
I was there that day working as an extra!
Can I have my stapler?
Such a great movie! Mike Judge really has made some of the most memorable entertainment of my lifetime.
🎵**BACK UP IN YO ASS WITH THE RESURRECTION**🎵
It’s not that I’m lazy. It’s that I just don’t care. – how I feel at work all the time.
I always say it’s my favorite documentary.
Source – have worked in IT for 20+ years.
They come to Chotchkie’s for the atmosphere and the attitude.

He’s telling Ron Livingston that he’s going to need him to come in to work on Saturday.
The interior of Chotski’s was filmed at What is now Baker St. Pub in Austin , TX. I used to work right across the street. Great movie.

Gold.

My dad hated Beavis and Butthead but loved Office Space. The look on his face when I told him they were created by the same guy.
” Hey Ron, hey Jennifer, I’m gonna need you to work tomorrow, so if you could be here about 9 that’d be great”
Sigh. For me 1998 was like yesterday so it’s not old school to me.
