Michelle Yeoh was the first Bond girl to really be a partner rather than some eye candy damsel in distress. I’d say Izabella Scorupco was the first Bond Girl to break that mold, but Yeoh was an equal, not just in the wrong place at the wrong time like Izabella’s character, but an agent herself, and she kicked ass in Tomorrow Never Dies, and it was awesome to see a “Bond Girl” not be the typical helpless throw away character
Saw her first in *Police Story 3.* There is a scene where the stuntperson (unsure if it was actually Yeoh) rides up to a train in a dirt bike and onto the train.
11-year old me was blown away by the stunt. This, after ~2 hours of pure Jackie Chan awesomeness.
Royal Warriors is one of the best action films of all time, just absolutely nonstop great action with Yeoh and Hiroyuki Sanada killing it.
The Heroic Trio is the most bonkers superhero film you’ll ever see, it’s fun as hell and if a film with Michelle Yeoh, Maggie Cheung and Anita Mui as the leads isn’t immediately at the top of your watchlist…
So they couldn’t get the rights to “Battle Without Honor or Humanity”? Cause that song is a damn near 1:1 ripoff. Glad for the collection and Yeaos success though! 🙂
Aw man. I thought for a second this was a box-set they were releasing.
Also: Gonna throw a shout-out to “The Stunt Woman” – it’s most notorious for being the movie that put her in traction, but it’s also I think the first real test of her skills as an actor outside of being an action star. It’s mostly a drama about trying to make it in the industry (although there are a few action scenes sprinkled in) but it’s a key component in her growth as a performer.
Oh fuck yea
I just watched this trailer last night. Then I watched *Police Story 3: Supercop* because it’s awesome.

In a year all media will condemn that woman for her lifestyle.

She was the only good part of Witcher: Blood Origins. Awesome actress and person.
The plane fight in Royal Warriors is bonkers

Yes, Madam! is pure 1980’s action movie fun.

The Heroic Trio is great, goofy fun.
Is this a separate service, or can I watch these on HBO Max?

That’s a pretty damn awesome trailer.
Not an action movie but I liked her role in Memoirs of a Geisha
Amazing woman. Born to kick ass and entertain
They really want her to have that Oscar don’t they?
