I lived in ( elschbach near miesau ) Germany in 89 when my dad was stationed there in the army….I swear the German Avon lady who sold my mom stuff and her son had a coat with that pattern or one very similar.
We went to Germany around 93. My dad bought us all new Charlotte Hornets jackets which were teal and purple. He said “everyone there will be wearing shades of brown, this will make it easy to find each other in a crowd.”
I had a sweater with these same colors around that time. I was a Nebraska high school girl, but I loved those warm earthtones. I hope with the current 1990s revival this aesthetic will come back around as well.
