Tom Seaver and Jerry Grote were my favorites during that time too. It was a treat to see them in person at Shea.
Nice. I lived not too far from Shea as a kid. I remember various meet & greets with Mets and Yankee players. My favorite was Goose Gossage.

Can’t tell you home many Jerry Grote cards I threw away. Seems like every pack had one.
I seem to recall Lou Brock saying he was the most difficult catcher to steal on.
