I found out just a little while ago that the reason marcy and Peggys pregnancies in Season 6 were just basically dropped was that Katey Sagal who plays Peggy actually had a miscarriage. I felt really sad for her.
It’s funny to me that in hindsight, every single one of these actors and actresses is actually unusually attractive- like at least an Omaha 9- but the only person I actually perceived as attractive when the show was on was Christina Applegate, who is a Hollywood 13.

Superb show…when Peggy would hear Al’s car arrive home in the driveway…she would turn off the tv,stub out her cigarette and hop into the kitchen pretending to cook dinner…Al would walk in,straight over to the tv set and feel the back of it for the heat and say” have you had a hard day,dear”….Al was my hero
When I was 13 my step-dad took me to the horse races. He gave me 60 bucks and said he’d place any bet I wanted on my behlaf. Marcy Darcy was the horse I picked, and she ended up winning despite her abysmal odds. I won a few hundred bucks, thanks to my love of Married With Children.
Jefferson, or Steve? Who did you like better and why? Both were whipped by Marcy, but Jefferson was a buffoon. I’m leaning more for Jefferson. I think him and Al clicked better on screen for the camera.

I still can’t believe my FIL (a real life Hank Hill) let his family watch this show, but never The Simpsons or Seinfeld.
Been rewatching it on Hulu I’m at season 8…this show would be probably not allowed on the networks today…
They originally were going to cast Sam Kinison as Al (who later guest starred) and, I think, Roseanne Bar to play Peggy.
But the producers decided that two comics would be too much, and I think they made the right call.
