Why was she so famous, obvs she’s a good looking girl but surely I’m missing something

At the absolute peak of her life and career. People forget how big a deal she was once. She practically ruled Hollywood.
Imagine she was your wife and mother to your children and you just lived a normal non famous life…………..🥰

Obviously years before RFK and Peter Lawford got involved.
She was lovely.
