Oh, look. A wide, wide multi-lane stroad designed by engineers drunk on the limitless power society grants them to achieve one directive: “make car go faster.”
We can TELL drivers to slow down with signs and police, but all this is a waste of time and money so long as we keep building wide roads that SHOW drivers they must go fast.

Bro this is sad but is this national news? Do we not have enough shit going on globally to keep track of without fucking NBC telling us all the most cartoonishly sad local story of all time? Christ, these organizations posing as anything other than attention generators for advertisers is so absurd.
I really wish people would realize they’re rocketing around in multi-ton death machines… There is literally no excuse for people getting killed by someone driving a car… Especially given that automobiles are NOT a new thing. That man will never go home to his family ever again, because some idiot was careless while behind the wheel of a vehicle.
This is sad but it was just a question of time. Being a good samaritan does not protect you from fast moving cars. Fucking awful.

So the ducks are ok?
A few weeks ago I was driving into town when I saw a baby turtle trying to cross the road. I decided to quickly park in the lot ahead and run back down to help it cross the 4 lane road. The turtle had hunkered down in the center of one lane. And as I waited on the side of the road waiting for an opening in the traffic, some dickhead in a truck saw what I was doing and swerved to hit the turtle. Just wanted to say fuck you to that driver.
Why are they exclusively interviewing children, asking them to relive a death they saw…. this is weird.
I remember being taught in driving school to never swerve or do anything to avoid hitting an animal because things could turn so much worse by doing so. Just brake if possible. I live in an area with trillions of geese and I only slow down to not hit them but never swerve. I’ve hit plenty of things. My life and the life of my children are worth more than some wild critters. I’ll await the down votes and go fuck yourself.
Who hit him? Why are they not arrested?

awfull, its shit like this that scares me to even attempt to help anyone out in the roads, its mad max out here. So many unnecessarily gigantic SUVs and Trucks like why? your not a commercial vehicle your not transportation anything that massive what is the point? And people who cant afford big cars have no chance when one of these rolling behemoths hit them. And then theres the fact that senior citizens have no cutoff point to what age they have to forfeit their drivers license. I sometimes see old people who can barely function driving around and nobody thinks this is a bad idea? what a backwards country.
