I loved the new movie honestly. Especially the big fight at the end. The fucking hype when the spear goes through sub zeros arm and a version of that iconic music plays.
This movie was definitely a product of its time. You really get the sense that the studio didn’t try that hard to make this movie great. They just threw in the game aesthetics and hoped to profit from it.
But honestly, this movie has gotten better with age. It’s still cheesy in some places, but it perfectly captured the spirit of the era and the game. 😊

The Scorpion and Sub-Zero scenes were all awesome!
The best thing constantly across all the movies have been those 2.
The best Paul Anderson
Man, in my memory the fight choreography for this movie was so much better than this…
The soundtrack for this movie was fire.

Wasn’t this from the sequel?
There is a good Mortal Kombat movie?
He don’t die,
He don’t die,
He don’t die…

arguably the best movie adaptation of a game
i liked the new one too, but i think it was a mistake to go the violent route like the games.
this movie IS mortal kombat inside and out, even without any notable violence.
