This kangaroo is displaying a threat response. It’s about to kick the guy very hard but likely can’t because it was in 3 degree water for 12 hours and was hypothermic.
My skepticism was FULL TILT on this – that first guy, “that’s not a ‘handshake, that’s a handgrab” . This video was oversold!! But then at the very end… I’ll be damned…

That area in Canberra is a death trap for animals. I used to kayak in the early morning and regularly b(1 x week) rescue dogs trapped and unable to exit the water. I hate to think how many dont make it.
