Not gonna lie, I’ve been digging the movies that Ric Roman Waugh and Gerard Butler have been making together. Angel Has Fallen was a great actiony B-movie, while Greenland was legitimately one of my favorite disaster films in a while. (Basically a more hopeful version of These Final Hours, but it was still awesome.) Hope they’re able to keep the streak going here.
I’d love to see what kind of multi-picture contract Butler has that means he has to make these B-movie type movies again and again. He is effectively the new Bruce Willis.
OK, so from what I can tell this movie looks like an American agent going into a middle eastern country and blowing up a government facility and then fleeing across the country to escape.
Just imagine a movie where the roles are reversed: A movie made by a middle eastern production company where an Arabic man blows up an American government facility and then flees across the country to escape, and he’s the hero of this story. I’m just saying, it’s kinda crazy these kind of films are still being made, can people not see the irony here?
Not what I expected for a Plane sequel
So this is not Black Adam 2?
Wait, this is NOT a sequel to Greenland?
Gerard Butler has accepted that he’s no Kenneth Branagh and is leaning heavily into the “pissed off middle-aged guy with a gruff voice” branding.
I guess movies have to be made, huh.
Looks decent to me. Always like Butler
The dad action movie genre is a genre I’ll never tire of
Thought it said “Kanadahr” and I was like “is that what Canadians call Canada?”
I was never really attracted to Gerard Butler, but after that trailer I’m Kandahar
Finally, a movie where we get to root for the bad guys
This looks much better than most of Gerards movies. They usually dont have this kind of visual quailty
Living for Butler’s second act
Navid Negahban is so great. Can’t believe he doesn’t get bigger roles.
Kandahar but looks like its actually in Morocco or Saudi Arabia or something, ykno, for….reasons…
His contract states from now on he’ll only star in movies with one word titles.
When are we getting Den of Thieves 2?!

I’ll catch it on streaming but looks like a movie I’ll enjoy on a Saturday afternoon
Gerard Butler.
In the same piece of crap you’ve seen over and over. Where one man. Has to save the world. Get ready. For this year’s steaming pile of crap.

I respect that Butler is leaning into these types of movies more

Is this about the giant?
Did they seriously release a trailer that ONLY credited Butler?
