That good huh. I’m going to have to look into this game more. Thank
This is like the biggest surprise of 2023 right? Nobody expected it to be this good!
I like RoboCop, didn’t know there was a game.
What does it play like? Deus Ex?
I loved it, it absolutely nailed the look and feel of the movies and the gameplay is pretty fun. Much of the dialogue and voice acting was incredibly cheesy, but that didn’t take much away from it.
It’s pretty short isn’t it? I do love me some Robocop tho..
This may be a good present for my older brother😳
What makes it do good?.
Are you a robocop fan?.
Because i never saw anything robocop related and the game looks ok so far.
So, in other words:
“I’D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR!”
Buddy of mine played it and said he loved it. If the Steam winter sale is good enough I’ll pick it up then.
Ps5 or Xbox series x? I’m torn which version to get?
Sounds good. I loved the original movie (I love the 80s!😃) Playing Alan Wake 2 right now and Robocop is next!
Same. Blew me away. Perfectly captures the feel of being in the movies. Incredible graphics. Meaty singleplayer campaign that goes places.
The most simple and linear game, walk and shoot basically, and still I completed 100% of the game…
Kinda 3th movie we deserved.
I wish it had a manual save system – I quit a couple of times and wound up needed to re-do side missions because they didn’t force an autosave.
Otherwise, the game is fantastic. It captures the feel and absolute camp of the source material and really feels like a love letter to the 80s.
Robocop, BG3 and Alan Wake where the big ones for me. All three games i did not lnow i wanted and wasnt even that hyped for. I really, really hope they will make a sequel.
I watched some YouTube steams and it looked soooo very meh. Just walk and shoot very basic unimaginative enemies. What’s so great about it? Is it just very faithful to the movies?
I liked it but it was a bit unbalanced I thought. My first encounter with Ed209 was seriously hard to beat, but when I got to Kane/RC2 it was a piece of cake – probably due to the gun setup. I kept glitching in this battle, I think because I smashed his health down before the game had got to specific set pieces. Still good though. Marching around the map looking for the traffic violations was a bit tedious.
Feel like I’m the only one that didn’t like this game. Got repetitive within the first hour.
>This is my game of the year!
This is why these awards mean nothing. Everyone has their own game of the year, and that’s all that matters. But a lot of people treat it like there’s one objective answer
Played about 10 hours it’s really fun and the fan service is impeccable..very surprised at the quality from a AA studio
Nice
It was pretty good. The pacing was a bit meh
If you haven’t already, I strongly recommend trying Teyon’s preceding game: Terminator Resistance. It has its slight jank, but it’s otherwise a very successful explorative immersive FPS love letter to Terminator.
I am desperately hoping they make a VR port for this because it looks like it could be the best VR game ever made by far.
100% buying on sale or when it gets to gamepass.
This game seems like a reasonable candidate for gamepass, right ?
They did terminator and its Good
This game freaking rocks. My GOTY.
Who gives a shit about the game awards?
Teyon’s done fantastic work making up for how lousy the Rambo game was, with first Terminator Resistance and now Robocop. They’re doing well within their limitations. I do worry about overpraising them a bit but I’d say their quality makes them worth the price.
It was good! Not as good as Spider Man 2 tho…that’s game of the year.
So, as someone who deleted the demo after the game crashing 25-30mins after I started playing. An avid robocop fan since I was way to young to have been watching it. What am I missing by not giving this game a second chance? Although I initially loved the music, Locations and vibe, the walk through blast everything with a small handful of similar guns through a very linier level felt slightly Like it would get old quickly. Then it crashed, cementing that idea in.
I want to love it but that you’ve gota tell me there’s more then what I’ve described for me to give it another go and actually pay for that!
Too short of a game to be GOTY, it was good but completed it in like 20 hours with the story and side quest that’s a bit too short, get it only when it’s on sale
Never even heard of this one. It’s on the wishlist now.
I didn’t even know this game was coming out and now I want to play it
L
My internet isn’t good, I wasn’t able to play. I was just trying to save a few bucks. I lost my gaming account.
*gunshot*
What *didn’t* you like about the game? Any negatives?
It’s…really good!
I’m more of a Joel Kinnaman Robocop person than a Peter Weller Robocop person, but i saw some videos and it looks kinda neat, but a bit slow/clunky for my tastes. Though i guess that was the aim.
Really that good? I have this on my wishlist. I really enjoyed Terminator so was hoping this would be good.
I really hope they don’t give it to Zelda TOTK. I am a huge fan of Zelda, but this is the first game since OoT that I have kind of given up on. I finished BOTW, and thought it was amazing, but I just can’t seem to get into TOTK.
I feel the same way. Bad guys just keep popping out and you just keep walking along. Almost like a rail shooter. I’ll still give it a try though.
Documentary about making official RoboCop movie – RoboDoc is also available.
