Dang. This really makes me wanna go back and watch Who Shot Liberty Valence again. Love that movie, and love Jimmy Stewart. Classic actor with a heart of gold.
Respect. From Wikipedia, which has a much larger bio of his WWII experience as well as his follow on military career.
After spending over a year training pilots at Kirtland Army Airfield in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he appealed to his commander and in November 1943 was sent to England as part of the 445th Bombardment Group to fly B-24 Liberators. He was based initially at RAF Tibenham, before moving to RAF Old Buckenham.
Stewart was promoted to major following a mission to Ludwigshafen, Germany, on January 7, 1944. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for actions as deputy commander of the 2nd Bombardment Wing, and the French Croix de Guerre with palm and the Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters.

What are his gestures signifying?
Looks like Skyler Gisondo
John Krasinski should play him in a biopic
I know he’s a national treasure and everybody loves him but he really annoys/bugs me.
