How can this be the pilot, and a “brand new show” when Grace is yesterday’s returning champion???
Interesting: the Daily Double was a second question after you’d answered the first correctly. Also, Delores got credit for one that wasn’t in the form of a question.
I go back to Fleming and 60s. It’s very surprising to me that these three would skip going down a column. That was very seldom done then, until the last minute of a round.
The contestants got chairs, that was thoughtful
The whole “Answers and Questions” gimmick is actually pretty stupid when you think about it, but we’re all so used to it we don’t give it a second thought
Given how crazy difficult the questions were on the old 50’s quiz shows I was really expecting these to be a lot tougher. The format of the questions is somewhat different from modern Jeopardy, but I’d say the difficulty on this pilot is maybe slightly lower, and the final jeopardy question was ridiculously easy, though somehow they all missed it??
