I feel like blur would be considered socially reckless and “inappropriate” by modern standards.
There is this niche game called mario cart, pretty fun

this game had a demo on xbox and i played it so much that when the game came out i was burned out and never even tried it.
The racing, the abilities, and the tracks. everything felt so fucking good. It was very Fzero in feel with some mario kart thrown in. It never had any bullshit rubberbanding that i noticed either which meant that if you were good enough you didn’t need to worry about some blueshell, lightning bolt shit.
the hotwheels racing game is pretty fun if you like arcade racers!
This is by far the most underrated game ever we need another bad lol

I remember enjoying it at first, but over time I just felt the driving was a bit too stiff and demanding , so getting hit with Mario kart powers just felt annoying instead of fun.
Crystal Method was a banger. I still listen to it till this day
My mates and I play this whenever we have a LAN sesh (old school) 🙂 Normal race, motor mash and tweaking the settings keeps it fresh.
Example: Motor mash mode with max damage, no shield or repair and no respawn = last man standing 🙂
Thesedays you can use “reshade me” to put some nice post processing and filters to jazz up the visuals a bit

I used to play the shit out of Blur and even distributed it among my dorm in college for multiplayer LAN. Hitting Shunt weapon and watching the reaction of opponent was priceless

This game had the best quadbox multiplayer I have tried in any car game with “real” cars. I have yet to see another that comes close. Seamless, no stutter, on a ps3! 😲
They also really did some of the best lighting and light effects on the sidelines of the tracks that I have seen.
I remember insane sniper battles with the three Shot ability 🤣 some of My Best car game multiplayer memories are from This game.
Once the Microsoft deal is done, they would be crazy to not revive this, and reinstate the Vicarious Visions team so they can make THPS 3+4
As a dad with various ages kids this was awsome. I should pop the disk into the series or see if I still have 4 working 360 controllers….
