The security forces killed well over 300 women for not wearing a head covering since the protests began. 50 of those were minors. Those men there are broken.

It’s important to point out that this wasn’t an official statement. Just the attorney general blurting this out randomly in an interview.
The IR politicians feel no shame to just say stuff to make themselves look good and then contradict themselves the next day.

This is propaganda, not the truth. Iran hopes this statement about it being abolished will mean other countries stop caring/supporting those seen as “rebels”.

The Iranian government has killed a lot of its own citizens. They may be trying to appear softer without an official declaration to hope to quell protests. If that is the case and nothing changes, the families and friends do not forget their dead. Hopeful for the people of Iran.
