I don’t care how old he is or how bad Kingdom was. Indy is back and I’m so excited.
I’m glad they called it “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” instead for just “Indiana Jones.”

There aren’t enough adventure movies being released these days. I feel like the last good one was the first Mummy movie. Hoping this is good!
I’m going to rewatch the shit out of the original trilogy in 4K for this.

Toby Jones as a Nazi scientist, how daring
Outside of the shot of Indy on the horse this looks rather good. It’s been awhile since we’ve had an adventure film to look forward to.
This will be not only Ford’s last film as Indy, apparently it will also be John Williams’ final film score. I’m not ready for this.
“Practical effects”
Have to say the de-aging looks incredible. Legit thought it was a clip from one of the older movies.
Thank god they kept the campy feel of the other films. Those punch sound effects are glorious.

You could send any one of Harrison Ford’s characters to Hogwarts for seven years and he would still be skeptical

So between “the Dial of Destiny” and all the de-aged shots seemingly from 1930s/1940s era Indy, are they going with a time travel plot? Or are those flashbacks?
I so want this to be good and Mangold gives me hope. Please please please don’t suck.

I know he’s not in the movie, but now that Ke Huy Quan is back acting, I could really use an “okey dokey Dr Jones”
Harrison Ford’s head when the horse rears up looks like one of those Jib Jab holiday videos, where you post your co-workers’ heads on a dancing elf.
That shot was not ready for the trailer.
I’m ready to get hurt again.
He says he doesn’t believe in magic however he has seen:
– aliens
– The power of Yahweh shooting out from the AofC melting faces all around him
– A knight with seemingly extraordinarily elongated life guarding a magic cup
– An Indian cult child using literal magic on him with a voodoo doll (sensory also perceived as pain)
– Some guy rip some dudes heart out with his bare hand through the sternum and said heart bursting into flames (though this could be illusion)
– The kid from Disney’s “Even Stevens” growing facial hair
