In the town I grew up in, someone took the 150 pound Sinclair dinosaur from across the street and put it all the way on top of the McDonald’s in a single night. To this day, no one knew who did it and how they did it.

Scaffolding “stairs” and ropes. I know because we did a Jurassic Park haunted house one year and needed to move the skull sign section on top of the big king kong doors with the flaming torches. We used scaffolding to make a rough ramp, put sheets of plywood from the ground to the top and then pulled the sign up the ramp with ropes. the sign was 12ft x 12ft x 4ft and weighed about 300lbs or more.
Can’t have fun like this anymore. Too many cameras.

Tbh 150 ain’t that hard to rope up the side of a building. We do it with compressors all the time.

I have only seen one Sinclair dinosaur and it’s in Watkins Glenn, NY.
Was this in Missoula, MT? We had a story about a sinclair dinosaur being stolen from a gas station but I dont remember hearing about it getting put on a mcdonalds. Though there is one nearby from the location it was stolen.

Just outside my hometown there’s a small fiberglass factory that displays a life-size fiberglass rhino. It’s turned up in some interesting places, including the courtyard at my high school that could only be entered through the school. Always seems to make its way home.
