Made up songs? Original material, maybe.

OP, you post often enough to know the rules.
The Ramones played there.
This ain’t no Mudd Club.
So random but I’m making a mental association with 13 Going on 30 lol

Jesus, does OP do anything original, or do they just copy and paste from Twitter?
Truth in advertising – it looked pretty much the same on the inside, only not quite as clean.
Birthplace of the Ramones and Blondie
i loved the movie about this place.
I always wondered before the punk/rock bands took over has Hilly ever had any country, bluegrass, or blues acts perform at CBGB?
I got to see a couple shows at CBGBs and it was perfection.
If you never bought some “product” from one of the residents of that very fine Palace Hotel, well, you really are missing out!
and Other Music For Uplifting Gourmandizers.
Remember when every hipster and their parents were wearing CBGB t-shirts? Glad that passed, you just knew 1/2 of those people never even went there
This club holds a special place in my heart. Practically lived there in the eighties. Sunday hardcore matinees. Changed my life. Played there a ton of times, too. My kids aren’t impressed.
The CBGB. I ain’t got time for that now.
Was not old enough in 73 to go to this legendary place. If I had a time machine I would travel to CBGB on any night they had blues artists. The next venue I’d like to travel is anything in the early 80s on the Sunset Strip catching the beginnings of some of the bands like Motley Crue, Ratt, Poison.
TIL what CBGB stands for.
I ain’t got time for that now…..
“country, bluegrass, and blues”
The bathroom in that place was epic. You needed the same shots as the ones you needed to travel 4th world countries.
I can smell the urine from here.
Blondie!
Whenever I went to New York as an adult, I’d go to CBGB without bothering to see who was playing beforehand. I’ve been twice. Always had a good time.
Played there in 88. The entire place felt like it was made of cardboard. Hardly anyone showed up, but at least I can say I was there, on the stage.
I no longer wear my t-shirt out of the house. Old news.
