So, as someone not well versed in hockey. If everyone is in the box, what happens? The crowd just stares at empty ice until the penalties expire?

This might be the ultimate in stupidity. So the refs can’t do their job and figure out who threw punches or otherwise deserved the majors? Just send everyone on the ice home early because there’s 7 mins left and it’s 4-0? Certainly 10 players did not deserve effing major penalties from that. If this happened in a baseball game ”brawl” where everyone runs out the dugout and bullpens, there would be outrage.

This idiot even threw the ice maintenance crew off the ice during a TV time out. He completely lost control of the game.

The refs determined that the players on the ice engaged in misconduct. Refs were attempting to break things up and the players kept going. The game was getting chippy, and if they don’t basically eject those guys, there could be many more fights. Hockey players are a different breed than baseball players. Some of the toughest fuckers I’ve ever met, and they won’t let a wrong go unpunished.

Can anyone explain what exactly happens when everyone on ice gets a 10 minute misconduct? Does everyone go in the penalty box and the time just ticks without anyone playing?
Anybody else think B. Tkachuk said something there that’s going to get him fined and/or suspended? Seemed like it was dying down until he said something that triggered the Panthers.

2minutes no tender touching = ok so dont hit the head or balls for 2 minutes
2 minutes roughing = u can gang up on others at these 2 minutes
10 minutes misconduct = u can steal their stuff too
I had 3 of these players on the ice in my fantasy lineup today. None of them cobtributed anything offensively- but their combined pims still managed to get me 7 points. In 20+ years of fantasy hockey I’ve never seen anything like it.
