If you’re in the store. You see these 2 games. Which one you buying?

Both
RDR… easy choice
RDR
Have them both. Love them both. Given the parameters of your scenario, I am buying RDRII every time.
I can see the appeal of RDR2, but for me; even if I had money for both, I would buy GOW twice.
GoW without hesitation
Red dead for sure for
RDR2
God of War all day
GOW
I already have RDR2 but I’d still choose it, I mean I like mythology but GOW is a little too violent and gory for my taste, plus I love being a rootin tootin cowboy
Honestly GOW, the combat is too good to pass up.
Arthur Morgan
I personally couldn’t get into RDR2’s single player. I don’t have a lot of time to play games these days and the thought of watching all those animations just turns me off from it. Beautiful game, regardless.
# Better idea
Who was the better protagonist? Arthur or Kratos.
Already have both, but if I had to choose one, God of War. RDR2 is one of the best open world games out there, but God of War has some of the most satisfying combat in any game I’ve played.
None. Because a have no money ;-;
If i didn’t have either, definitely RDR2
If im in a game store, ive time traveled and neither of these games has been released yet
God of war for me personally I absolutely loved that game! Rdr2 also is an amazing game
Rdr2 since I can only choose one, and it will last longer.
Rdr2
RDR2. Amazing open world, story, exploration. The controls feel different at first but then you get used to it. I personally couldn’t get into GOW’s arcadey fighting mechanics. Also one of the funnest experiences I have had in the last couple years is getting wasted in RDR2 and taking crap to people in town and drunkenly brawling everyone. Good times.
Red dead all day
haven’t played either sadly, but probably RDR2
If I could only ever play one of them again it would be RDR2. GOW is good but RDR2 just has some special magic about it. I full on cried at the end of it.
Red dead every time! I think about it literally like every day.
God of War because i already have rdr2
Rdr2 no competition, for me at least
RDR
Red Dead Redemption 2
Both are great but I just enjoyed my time with RDR2 more
RDR2
Rdr2
I didn’t enjoy the gameplay of god of war that much compared to the original trilogy which got me into that genre as a whole.
Rdr2 is easily one of the best open worlds with an equally compelling story
GOW 200%
Rdr2 without a doubt. More replay ability
I love gow and its my favourite game but with rdr2 you can do much more so i go with rdr2
Red Dead Redemption 2, final answer
Elden Ring
RDR2. It is the only game that I feel I could argue is the best video game ever made.
Just started playing God of War last night. After completing red dead 2 in all its glory I can definitely see why this game God of War is a contender but how did it beat rdr2 for game of the year? it’s crazy. it’s very good. You can’t beat rdr2s open world though. I think overall red dead is a better game but wow I’m so glad this came to pc. God of war has a great story but its very linear not to mention no multiplayer. Imo its hard to say which one is better they are pretty much dif genres.
RDR2 for sure god of war is really good too tho
I love the open-world in RDR2 plus I like a game where I can spend hours just exploring, on the other hand GOW has Norse mythology which is my favourite plus very satisfying gameplay and boss fights.
Tough choice.
Rdr2 a second time. I played both and Red dead is by far the better game. Don’t get me wrong, gow is good.
Since this is an either / or hypothetical I assume I can afford both so don’t have a to. Of money. In that case RDR2 is more bang for the buck and more hours overall.
GOW the better game though IMO
Red Dead. Head and shoulders the best.
If I can afford both of them, then I’ll get both.
If I can only afford one of them however, Red Dead Redemption 2 without even thinking. I still think it was more deserving of the Game Of The Year Award.
Elden ring
Red Dead has more immersive qualities, where my time just disappears. I’m biased because it came out during a very difficult time in my life and really helped take my mind off of things. So yeah, that will always get my vote.
