Brutal. I wish there was a way to cheat at that game. I’d rather play 100 blitzball matches than do that race again.
I really gotta replayt, I don’t remember that mini game at all and I keep hearing that mini-game is hell to perfect.
Most brutal for me was 0.6

I never had an issue with this. I always finish it in 2-3 tries. I have never done the lightning mini game, though.
Gotta get that sword finished…
One of the best games of all time with one of the biggest nightmare mini-games that you have to do to get the legendary weapons 😢
I actually think that Auron’s ultimate weapon takes way too much effort, even more than this race

Between this and dodging the lightning bolts, I’m very confused why I still consider 10 to be my favorite. Hell of a get OP. Congrats.
Last time I played through this game I ended up rage quitting because of this part. I just couldn’t do it.

As much as i hate this race, it’s honestly one of the easiest super weapons to max out for me
LoL, also currently playing it. Just did the 200 lightning dodges, continuing on with monster arena gathering. Not looking forward to the 0 sec chocobo race :L :L
One time when I was trying to get this awful challenge completed I got 0.01 0.03 0.05 0.00 and 0.1 seconds in about 10 minutes, I had so many times where I’d be in the lead massively and like 10 birds would spawn on me and stunlock me, with that said I can’t decide if this race or the race vs the champion chocobo where you need to open the chests under the temple beside the calm lands is worse

I remember going back to play FFX again a few years ago and somehow nailed the race in one try.
Got the chocobo racer relatively easy from what I recall, that damn lightning dodging mini game on the other hand, Jesus. At least after using a guide I think the 200 was only supposed to be like 15 minutes so I was able to eventually zone out and keep a rhythm.

Everyone always says this is torture but I remember beating it when I was like 14 and having enough fun that I was glad that I went through it in the end. Was brutally difficult though.

When I got my ps5 I set a goal to get platinum on all the final fantasy games from my childhood.
I did eventually get the 0.0 on this bird race. Not sure what hurt me more, this or the lightning bolts. I’d rather fight penance 10 times than do either of those again 😂

FF10 is a great game with some absolutely shit mini games. I refuse to do the lightning dodge and I don’t ever want to do those chocobo racing challenges ever again. Fuck that.

I still remember my reaction to this day. Chips flews off that day. The lightning I did on my first try but this one… man!
I just showed this to my boyfriend and he flipped me off and is cursing me. 10/10 would do it again!
My man. There are only two kinds of people in this world. People who cursed and flung every profanity possible at those seagulls while racing, and liars.
Out of all my years in gaming, this was one of the most painstakingly tedious things to get. FFX will always be in my top games.
My partner can attest to the three days straight I was playing this. She started to hum the music. She hated the music.
She’s not a gamer. Could not understand why I couldn’t just put it down or walk away.
This was literally the moment I put the game down and never returned to it.
Man I do know.. only way to get the ultimate weapon for Tidus.. last time I paid my nephew $100 to do it for me.. took him a full weekend lol
