Stayed up until the small hours playing this game on many evenings, and this was almost certainly our favorite map. I don’t want to be a teenager again, but I’d give a lot to go back for one more night.
In college, we wired a friend’s house with homemade CAT-5 cables. We would have people bring over a tv and their Xbox to play 16 player halo. The entrance fee was $5 and we would buy weed, roll it into blunts and smoke between matches.
My computer class had two levels, level one had about a dozen kids in it , and level two was JUST ME. It was a self taught in the back of level1, and it was a focus on networking specifically CCNA.
We were in an older computer lab, and my job was to get JUST good enough at networking I could get all of these computers setup with a file share and LAN access so we could then subtly play Unreal and Halo.
What kind of schools did you guys go to? I always here about playing halo on school PCs like wtf? Yinz all went to some Bill Gates funded high schools.
My school rented out macbooks to students, the school caught wind we were playing Halo demo and pushed a script to all the computers to block the exe. Small group of us figured out if you spam the exe enough and launch enough exes it overrides the script and we were able to play it.
I was playing a 1v1 against a friend and I was walking across the middle of the map with a sniper. My ADHD ass got bored as I was creasing the top of that kill so I jumpy and shot and headshot my friend as he was coming up the ramp to the top of one of the bases.
You ever wonder why we’re here?
Blood Gulch, Friday night, Army barracks, lots of alcohol, LAN multiplayer
to recreate those times would be better than anything Rooster Teeth could come up with
When the one kid who never got the banshee managed to get it and then raged because he got immediately blown to shit
Boomer posting
Red vs Blue.
Insane how much fun was in such a small file.
I hate the hidden spot that tou can fly up to ..out of the map and snipe anyone down below …
This is why I have to invert the right stick whenever I start a new game.
This is where you find out the true potential and range of the pistol
Roses are red
And violets are blue
Sixteen friends, a few girlfriends, four televisions, four XBoxes, all crammed into a two bedroom apartment playing Halo for hours.
I never much cared for the game – I’ve never been that into most FPSs – but damned if those weren’t good times.
I had my entire computer class download this as well. I miss those days 😌
Ironically, this was my Auto Shop class. Until they took the computers away.

My whole class would get our work done and then just play halo.
Also praise OG Xbox for introducing me to Halo and FPS games
Back in my day, multiplayer gaming in computer class consisted of hot seat Number Munchers on an Apple IIe.
4h camp but yes
How long has it been. It feels like decades.
edit: yeah it has been that long. wow 😣
Whoop-de-fuckin-do.
Warthogs, and somebody across the computer lab ready to smack the shit outta you for using said warthog

Good old “Halo Blunt Club”.

It was unreal tournament for us. Simpler times.
Loved this map, my brothers and I would 1v1v1.
I usually took a banshee and flew up the cliff side on a ledge and sniped them lol.
I used to have an unhealthy obsession with this show, I’ve seen it so many times. That was like 10 years ago now, maybe it’s time to revisit it
Hell yeah, even the teachers played! Good times.
Is this warmerise ?
Too bad i only could watch season 1 of RvB, does anyone know where the rest can be watched ? It seems there’s only some poorly cropped reposts
Ok?

I mean the only reason we built a red base over here, is cuz they built a blue base over there
Cause its’ red vs red
Blue vs blue
I against i
And me against you
“Why do you think we’re here?”
I haven’t seen this map in alot of years, nostalgia gave me cold chills
Gryph, do you ever wonder why we’re here

If you were playing halo in computer class you’re already too young to be inferring you’re OG…we were playing commander keen, or Duke nuke’em
